Qualifications:

  • Valid credential/certification as a paraprofessional, and able to provide documentation
  • At least two full years of experience as a school-based paraprofessional, BT, RBT, or in a closely related role
  • Comprehensive background in special education, with direct involvement supporting students with diverse needs
  • Flexible and open to working across any age group or caseload, as assignments may vary
  • Comfortable providing personal care assistance, including toileting and diapering when required
  • Prepared to start within 2-3 days notice for upcoming assignments at the start of the new school year
  • Punctual and reliable, with a commitment to accurate sign-in/out for timesheet records per school policy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to students with special needs, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to ensure tailored support for each students IEP
  • Assist with classroom activities, behavior management, and lesson implementation
  • Support students personal care needs with dignity and professionalism
  • Maintain detailed documentation of services rendered, adhering to all district guidelines
