Embark on a meaningful full-time contract opportunity supporting students in an engaging educational environment near Scranton, PA. As a dedicated paraprofessional working 1:1 with a student, youll make a real difference every day while developing your professional skills in a school-based setting.

This onsite role offers an 8:15AM3:15PM schedule and starts as soon as possible, continuing through June 16, 2027. Youll play an essential part in a students academic and personal development while collaborating closely with educators and staff. This is a fantastic chance for enthusiastic individuals committed to supporting the SPED community.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma required
• Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school environment
• Comfortable supporting students with special needs, including those who require toileting and diapering assistance
• Able to obtain and complete all required Pennsylvania clearances
• Maintain reliable transportation for consistent onsite attendance
• Willingness to work 1:1 within the SPED population
• Professional, compassionate, and patient demeanor

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to a student, both academically and with daily living needs
• Assist in classroom activities and foster a positive learning atmosphere
• Address personal care needs as required, following all established protocols
• Collaborate with teaching staff and participate in planning and progress assessments
• Maintain accurate records and support the students goals as part of the IEP team
