Job Description

Make an impact as a Paraprofessional supporting students in schools across the Scranton area. Work onsite within an engaging educational environment, helping students succeed academically and personally. This contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and continues through June 2027. As a Personal Care Aide, you will fill dynamic roles throughout various school sites based on district needs.

Key Duties:

• Provide direct assistance to students under the supervision of certified staff
• Support students with academic tasks, classroom routines, and behavioral goals
• Foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere for learners of all abilities
• Collaborate with teachers and school professionals to implement IEPs or 504 plans
• Document student progress and communicate updates as needed
• Assist with personal care or daily living activities depending on the assignment
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all students

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Paraprofessional or Personal Care Aide in a school setting
• Pennsylvania credentialing completed or in process (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprinting, Act 126, TB Test, Act 168, Physical, PATCH/Act 134, Drug Screen)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Adaptability to work at any assigned campus (site preferences considered, not guaranteed)
• Commitment to student welfare, confidentiality, and district protocols
• Ability to work onsite for 35 hours per week

Youll take on assignments at elementary, intermediate, or high school sites per district decision, giving you the chance to broaden your professional experience. Pay for this role ranges from $41 to $43 per hour based on experience level.
