Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience or strong interest in working as a paraprofessional in a school setting
  • Ability to support classroom teachers with instructional and non-instructional activities
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification is required; training may be provided if certification is not current
  • Current CPR certification is required
  • Professional, dependable, and adaptable to changing classroom needs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and parents

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in daily instructional tasks and classroom management
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as directed
  • Support students with special needs by following individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Help maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment
  • Implement crisis prevention and intervention strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with fellow staff members to meet student and school goals
