Job Description

Make a positive difference in the lives of students by serving as a Paraprofessional in a school-based setting. This contract opportunity runs from August 10, 2026, through June 11, 2027, with schedules that follow the local school calendar. Workhours are either 35 per week for school-age programs or 29 per week within early intervention, depending on assignment needs. The focus will be supporting students in an inclusive educational environment near Carbon and Lehigh Counties, PA.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Must meet at least one of the Pennsylvania paraprofessional qualification requirements (details will be provided to applicants).
  • Experience working with children or youth in educational or care settings is strongly valued.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic classroom environments.
  • Commitment to supporting the educational and social growth of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist certified teachers by supporting instructional activities and providing one-on-one or small group support to students.
  • Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 plans as needed.
  • Foster an inclusive, positive, and safe learning environment.
  • Support students social-emotional and behavioral needs.
  • Monitor student progress and document observations.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to facilitate student success.
  • Participate in relevant school meetings, trainings, or professional development.
