Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional or related school support role
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies
- Strong communication skills with students of various backgrounds and abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and support specialists
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for helping children learn
- High school diploma or equivalent required (some assignments may ask for additional coursework or credentials)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering instructional and behavioral support
- Work one-on-one or in small groups to guide students through assignments and activities
- Support students with special needs by following educational plans and accommodations
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and productive classroom environment
- Prepare, organize, and distribute learning materials as needed
- Monitor student progress and assist in classroom recordkeeping under direction of licensed staff
