Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in educational or caregiving settings preferred
- Ability to assist students with instructional tasks as directed by the classroom teacher
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build supportive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in helping students with diverse abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or relevant certification a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and behavioral support to students, both one-on-one and in group settings
- Assist with classroom management and preparation of learning materials
- Support students with special needs in accordance with their individual education plans (IEPs)
- Help facilitate a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all learners
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to reinforce lesson plans and adapt activities as needed
- Supervise students during non-classroom times such as recess or transitions
