Qualifications and Skills:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional or teaching assistant in a school environment is highly valued
- Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated patience and adaptability when working with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, specialists, and support staff
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to school policies
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certifications in education or special needs support are a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional tasks, classroom management, and organization
- Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students who require extra help with assignments or classroom participation
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning atmosphere for all students
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to educators and staff
- Support students with special needs by helping implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) under teacher guidance
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities as required
