Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in an educational or special education setting
  • Ability to assist in classroom management and provide one-on-one or small group support
  • Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptability, patience, and a collaborative spirit
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in education or related field preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers by preparing materials and supporting lessons
  • Provide instructional support to students individually or in groups, reinforcing lessons and activities
  • Help foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Support students social, emotional, and behavioral needs as directed
  • Monitor student progress and report observations to the teaching staff
  • Supervise students during transitions, recess, and lunch as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to ensure student success
