Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Experience as a paraprofessional or classroom aide preferred
- Comfortable supporting students individually and in small groups
- Ability to assist with academic tasks, classroom management, and personal care
- Skilled at collaborating with teachers, support staff, and school administrators
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree or completed paraprofessional assessment a plus
- Patience, flexibility, and dedication to fostering student growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with teachers to support instructional activities and student engagement
- Help implement individualized education and behavioral intervention plans
- Supervise students during class activities, transitions, lunch, recess, and dismissal
- Assist students with assignments, reinforcing lessons and providing encouragement
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Document student progress and communicate observations to teaching staff
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and school matters
