Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar classroom support role
- Understanding of the needs of diverse learners, including students requiring additional assistance or accommodations
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and staff
- Adaptability and a proactive, positive attitude in dynamic school settings
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional coursework or certification in education is a plus)
- Commitment to encouraging student growth, independence, and engagement
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering instructional activities and reinforcing lessons
- Support students one-on-one or in small groups, adapting assignments as needed
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere
- Assist with classroom organization, preparing materials, and supervising students during various activities
- Collaborate with educators and specialists to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) where applicable
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as required
