This contract opportunity is ideal for passionate Paraprofessionals dedicated to supporting students with a range of needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), behavioral challenges, and learning differences. You'll work full time (37.5 hours per week) within a supportive onsite team, providing individualized (1:1) and group guidance to help students reach their full potential.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Paraprofessional, preferably in a school setting
- Understanding of ASD, behavior intervention strategies, and learning support practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students and staff
- Ability to maintain a positive, patient, and professional attitude at all times
- Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and growth-oriented classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, hands-on support to students individually and in small groups as directed by classroom teachers or specialists
- Implement behavior and learning support strategies tailored to student needs
- Encourage student engagement, independence, and participation in academic and social activities
- Assist with the management of classroom routines and adherence to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educational staff, families, and related service providers to track progress and share insights
