Serving School Districts Near Palo Alto, California
Sunbelt Staffing is hiring Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Paraprofessionals for multiple full-time school-based opportunities supporting students in districts throughout the Palo Alto area for the 2026-2027 school year. These positions provide the opportunity to work directly with students in preschool through 8th grade settings while making a lasting impact on their educational success.
We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated professionals who enjoy working with children and supporting diverse learning and behavioral needs.
Position Details
Position Title: Behavior Technician (BT) / Paraprofessional
Location: School districts near Palo Alto, CA
Additional Posting Locations:
San Jose, CA
Palo Alto, CA
San Mateo, CA
School Year: 2026-2027
Employment Type: Full-Time
Hours: 30 Hours Per Week
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Typical Workday: Approximately 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Minimum Day: Wednesdays
Grade Levels: Preschool through 8th Grade
Openings: 3 Positions Available
Job Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one support to assigned students throughout the school day
Assist students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals
Implement individualized support plans under the direction of the educational team
Collect data and document student progress as required
Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and support staff
Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Encourage student independence and engagement in classroom activities
Qualifications
Paraprofessional Requirements
High School Diploma required
Experience working with children in educational, childcare, behavioral, or related settings preferred
Behavior Technician Requirements
RBT Certification preferred or currently in progress
Previous experience supporting children with behavioral or developmental needs preferred
