Youll be collaborating with educational teams across multiple schools, working alongside teachers and staff to ensure students who are deaf or hard of hearing receive the support and interpretation services they need. School assignment schedules and caseload specifics will be discussed as details are finalized.

Key Qualifications:

• Active California Paraprofessional licensure or certification required
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with the ability to interpret in academic settings
• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a sign language interpreter role highly valued
• Enthusiasm for fostering a communicative and accessible classroom environment
• Flexibility to work across various age groups and adapt to changing caseload needs

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, ensuring access to curriculum and classroom activities through ASL interpretation
• Collaborate with educators and related service providers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Facilitate positive and inclusive communication between students, educators, and peers
• Assist with classroom management and adapt learning materials as needed for accessibility
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times
