Youll work full-time during standard school hours (7:50 am 3:50 pm, Monday through Friday), engaging directly with students ages 1521 within a single high school setting. This role provides an opportunity to foster an inclusive atmosphere, supporting students learning and growth throughout the extended school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Paraprofessional Certificate (Parapro Cert) required
- Experience working with high school students or adolescents (ages 1521) highly preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and students
- Adaptable, resourceful, and patient approach to supporting diverse learners
- Commitment to cultivating a positive and supportive school environment
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers by implementing lesson plans and providing individual or small group support
- Support the educational and behavioral needs of high school students
- Help facilitate classroom activities, encourage student participation, and promote inclusion
- Collaborate with educational staff to address students unique learning goals
- Maintain a professional and respectful learning atmosphere
