Support an inspiring high school senior as a contract paraprofessional, assisting their academic and internship success. This unique role blends reliability, compassion, and adaptability, offering you the chance to make a meaningful difference while working closely with students and school staff.

Key Objectives & Experience

  • Experience as a Paraprofessional in school settings strongly preferred
  • Patience, empathy, and an upbeat demeanor when supporting students with varying needs
  • Expertise providing emotional support, companionship during transit, and academic assistance (especially in History)
  • Ability to manage daily travel with the student from the high school via district bus (punctuality is a must)
  • Flexible approach to both scheduled and ad-hoc support tasks, including at-site internships
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Immediate availability to start and complete required district Vector training

Core Responsibilities

  • Accompany the student daily from the high school to Impact Academy in Dover, NH (MondayThursday) using the free provided bus
  • Offer standby emotional support and serve as a steady presence throughout the school day
  • Assist in academic coursework upon returning to the high school, with a focus on completing History assignments
  • On Fridays, accompany the student to a 5-hour internship, providing support as needed; fulfill additional support duties at the base location if the internship does not require on-site presence
  • Maintain accurate attendance and document the support delivered
  • Adapt to evolving needs and schedules, ensuring consistent and effective service
