Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a Secondary ESY Paraprofessional supporting students success during the summer session. Based near Saint Paul, MN, this contract role spans from July 6th to July 23rd and offers a focused schedule perfect for those seeking impactful, part-time work. The assignment follows a Monday through Thursday structure, with hours from 7:30am to 1:00pmincluding a 30-minute lunchtotaling 20 hours per week.
Youll make a direct difference by working one-on-one with students or providing invaluable support within classroom settings, helping foster educational growth and engagement throughout the ESY (Extended School Year) program.
Ideal candidates bring:
- Para Test Certification, or proof of at least two years (60 semester credits/90 quarter credits) of post-secondary coursework from an accredited higher education institution, or proof of college degree
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a school support setting
- Ability to create supportive and inclusive learning environments for students of diverse backgrounds
- Flexibility, patience, and strong communication skills for working with students and educational staff
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following school policies
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized and group support to students, as directed by educators
- Assisting with classroom management and adapting activities to meet students unique needs
- Encouraging student participation and supporting positive social interaction
- Implementing accommodations and modifications prescribed by teaching staff
- Helping facilitate a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment
