Make a real difference this summer as an Elementary ESY Paraprofessional supporting young learners near Saint Paul, MN. This contract opportunity spans from July 6th through July 23rd, with orientation taking place in June (exact date to be announced). Your workdays will be Monday through Thursday, from 8:45am to 2:15pm, including a 30-minute lunch each day, totaling 20 hours per week. Experience the satisfaction of contributing to student success at one of three elementary sites, where there are multiple openings for dedicated professionals.
As a paraprofessional, your day will be spent providing critical support either one-on-one or within classroom settings, helping students thrive academically and emotionally during their Extended School Year program.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Current Para Test Certification, OR
- Proof of at least two years of post-secondary coursework (60 semester or 90 quarter credits) from an accredited institution, OR
- Proof of a college degree.
- Prior experience working with children in school, camp, or childcare environments is highly valued.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a caring and reliable approach to student support.
- Flexibility to work at any of the three elementary school sites as needed.
Core Responsibilities:
- Supporting individual students with academic, emotional, or behavioral needs.
- Assisting classroom teachers in daily activities, adapting materials as needed.
- Fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
- Monitoring student progress and communicating any concerns to instructional staff.
