Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Two years of college credits from an accredited institution, or
  • An associate degree or higher, or
  • Passing score on an approved academic assessment (ParaPro, ParaPathways, The Master Teacher), or
  • Demonstrated competencies per the state-approved competency grid
  • PCA certificate, or willingness to obtain (quick, free certification available)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to foster a positive and inclusive environment

Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in providing academic and behavioral assistance to students with special needs
  • Follow prescribed instructional and behavior intervention plans
  • Encourage student independence and confidence within classroom and community settings
  • Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and daily routines
  • Engage positively with students, staff, and families

Compensation for this position ranges from $16.00 to $32.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
