Job Description

Exciting full-time opportunities are available for skilled Paraprofessionals and Educational Assistants to contribute to an engaging focus program near Saint Paul and Burnsville, MN. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Either two years of college credits from an accredited institution or an associate degree or higher (any discipline)
  • Alternatively, a passing score on an approved academic assessment (ParaPro, ParaPathways, or The Master Teacher) or the ability to demonstrate the competencies outlined in the MDE-approved competency grid
  • PCA certificate or willingness to complete the certificate (free and takes less than an hour)
  • Previous experience as a Paraprofessional, Educational Assistant, or in a similar support role within a school setting is highly regarded
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, student-centered approach

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential classroom and individualized support to students participating in special education programs
  • Assist certified teachers in daily instruction, classroom management, and implementation of student-specific learning accommodations
  • Work individually or in small groups with students to reinforce concepts and monitor progress
  • Support both academic and behavioral goals in partnership with educators and specialists
  • Maintain accurate records related to student progress and activities
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment by modeling patience, empathy, and respect
