Job Description

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and students
  • Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for supporting diverse learners
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in education or child development is a plus
  • Willingness to complete background checks and any necessary certifications

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in preparing materials and organizing classroom activities
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals
  • Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of certified staff
  • Monitor student progress, offering encouragement and assistance as needed
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, respectful, and productive classroom atmosphere
  • Supervise students during breaks, lunch, or transitions as assigned
