Sunbelt Staffing is looking for a dedicated and adaptable Paraprofessional to support students across K8 classrooms in the Pecatonica, Durand, Rockton, and Roscoe areas.

This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with students, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is comfortable supporting different classrooms based on the needs of the program.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide day-to-day support to K8 students and classroom teams.
  • Assist with academic activities, classroom routines, and student transitions.
  • Support students with behavioral, social, and educational needs.
  • Work alongside teachers and school staff to promote student success.
  • Adapt to different classroom environments and student needs.
  • Follow the schedule and expectations of the school you are assigned to each day.
  • Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment.

Flexibility Is Key

The selected candidate must be willing to travel to any of the eight program classrooms located throughout:

  • Pecatonica
  • Durand
  • Rockton
  • Roscoe

Daily assignments may vary based on program needs. The candidate may receive their assignment the evening before or the morning of, so flexibility and reliability are essential.

Candidates must be willing to work across all listed locations. Location restrictions cannot be accommodated.

Schedule

  • Earliest start time: 7:30 AM
  • Latest end time: 3:15 PM
  • Exact hours vary by school assignment.
  • Employees will follow the schedule of the school they are assigned to.
  • Pecatonica has multiple early dismissal days throughout the month.

Qualifications

  • ISBE Approval or Short-Term Approval required approval is easy to obtain.
  • Experience working with children preferred.
  • Ability to support students across K8.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Dependable, flexible, and comfortable with changing assignments.
