Job Description

Step into a meaningful opportunity supporting students in Life Skills and Behavior Program classrooms on a full-time contract basis. Paraprofessionals and Behavior Specialists are needed to assist with daily activities and instruction, working alongside educators to create supportive, productive environments for learners.

Key Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional or behavior specialist in educational settings
  • Knowledge of life skills instruction and behavioral intervention techniques
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers and related service providers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, adaptability, and dedication to student growth
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional related certification is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist students in managing daily routines, classroom participation, and skill acquisition
  • Support individual or small group learning both academically and behaviorally
  • Help implement behavior intervention plans and positive reinforcement strategies
  • Track and document student progress, reporting observations to program staff
  • Encourage inclusion and adaptations tailored to unique student needs
  • Foster a respectful, safe, and structured environment for all learners
  • Provide assistance with mobility, self-care, and other life skill tasks as needed
