Paraprofessional (Elementary Special Education) | Raymond, NH
Location: Raymond, New Hampshire
Position: Paraprofessional (2 Openings)
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hours: 32.5 Hours per Week
Daily Hours: 8:25 AM 3:25 PM
Assignment Dates: Late August 2026 June 2027
Join a Dedicated Elementary Special Education Team
We are seeking two compassionate, dependable, and experienced Paraprofessionals to support elementary students in grades K-3 within a specialized educational setting. This role focuses on working with students who have significant needs, including those identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), in a self-contained classroom program.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about special education, behavioral support, and helping young learners develop academic, social, and life skills.
Responsibilities
Provide direct support to students in grades K-3
Assist teachers and special education staff with daily classroom activities
Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals
Implement behavior intervention strategies and classroom support plans
Help create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
Facilitate student engagement during instructional and group activities
Support student independence, communication, and skill development
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school personnel
Qualifications
Previous experience working with children in an educational, behavioral, or caregiving setting preferred
Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) strongly preferred
Strong behavior management and de-escalation skills
Ability to remain patient, flexible, and student-focused throughout the school day
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
