Job Description

Support students with diverse learning and behavioral needs in K-12 classrooms within El Dorado County, California. This paraprofessional role focuses on assisting moderate to severe behavior classrooms across multiple school locations, including El Dorado Hills, Shingle Springs, Placerville, and Camino. Positions may vary between one-on-one student support and general classroom aide duties.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) and CPR certifications are mandatory.
  • Experience working with students exhibiting significant behavioral challenges.
  • Ability to provide attentive, individualized educational support.
  • Flexibility to work across various school sites within the county.

Location: Positions serve the entire El Dorado County area, spanning from El Dorado Hills to Lake Tahoe, primarily within El Dorado Hills, Shingle Springs, Placerville, and Camino schools.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with moderate to severe behavioral needs.
  • Provide 1:1 support to students requiring intensive behavioral intervention.
  • Monitor and react appropriately to student behavior following CPI protocols.
  • Help maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers and staff to support student success.
