A full-time position is available for an Educational Assistant/Paraprofessional supporting K-12 students within a dynamic school environment in Questa, NM. This contract-to-hire role spans the 2025-2026 school year and offers a collaborative setting where professionals work with diverse student needs, including behavior support roles such as ABA Therapist and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and behavioral support to students both in-person and virtually
- Collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement individualized education plans
- Monitor and assist with student behavior, adapting techniques as needed to promote positive outcomes
- Facilitate virtual and classroom activities with professionalism and flexibility
- Maintain accurate records and communication with school personnel
Qualifications:
- Must be certified or working toward certification as a Level 3 Educational Assistant or Substitute
- Experience or interest in behavior support, including ABA therapy or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) roles, is preferred
- Ability to handle varying student behaviors with patience and skill
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to virtual and in-person collaboration
- Availability for full-time hours ranging from 32 to 37 per week
