Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a school setting as a paraprofessional or teaching assistant, especially supporting students with diverse or special needs
  • Patience, compassion, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and therapists
  • Flexibility to adapt to various classroom environments and student needs
  • Reliable attendance and commitment to fostering a positive learning atmosphere
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic and behavioral support to students under the supervision of a certified teacher
  • Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and small group instruction
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support students with their goals
  • Promote inclusion and independence for all students
  • Support teachers with documentation, preparation of materials, and classroom organization
