Job Description
Make a positive impact supporting students in a school-based setting as a contract paraprofessional. This opportunity focuses on both one-on-one and classroom roles at the middle and high school levels, providing essential assistance to educators and helping students thrive. Work in a collaborative environment located near Portsmouth, NH, and contribute meaningfully to students daily experiences.
Qualifications:
- Proof of high school diploma is required
- Previous experience in a school environment is preferred
- No additional paraprofessional certifications or higher education necessary
- Must submit three completed references upfront, including your most recent manager
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Responsibilities:
- Support students in both 1:1 and classroom group settings
- Assist certified teaching staff in implementing academic and behavioral plans
- Help with classroom organization, materials, and activities
- Monitor and encourage student engagement and participation
- Foster a safe and positive learning atmosphere
Benefits:
- Consistent weekday schedule, 32.5 hours per week
- Contract position through June 2027
- Middle School hours: 7:10am2:10pm or High School hours: 7:30am2:30pm, both with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
