Exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference supporting young learners in a Pre-K classroom setting! A well-established school is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate paraprofessional to join their dedicated team on a contract basis. Youll work closely with early childhood educators to foster a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment for students during this pivotal stage of development.
Step into a rewarding role where your commitment to helping children thrive will be recognized and valued. You will be supporting one local school, working 30 hours per week, with the chance to start as soon as possible and continue through the school year.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Ed Tech Certification required
- Experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting strongly preferred
- Passion for early childhood education and student support
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, service providers, and parents
- Clear background check, along with any necessary fingerprinting before start
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to Pre-K students in daily classroom activities
- Assist lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and behavior management
- Facilitate one-on-one or small group learning sessions
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom atmosphere
- Support children with individualized needs and promote their social-emotional development
- Help with classroom setup, organization, transitions, and daily routines
