Make a meaningful impact supporting students with diverse needs across El Dorado County as a dedicated classroom paraprofessional. This contract opportunity is designed for passionate professionals who excel in fast-paced, adaptive environments and are ready to work closely with students who have moderate to severe behavioral or developmental needs.
You will work within a variety of classroom settingssome positions focus on individual student support (1:1) while others serve as a classroom aide, providing a valuable partnership to teachers and students alike. Most assignments are located in El Dorado Hills, Shingle Springs, Placerville, and Camino, with coverage extending county-wide, from El Dorado Hills to Lake Tahoe.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in a paraprofessional, teachers aide, or behavioral technician role within school settings.
- Active CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) and CPR certifications.
- Flexibility to travel and adapt to various classroom assignments and school sites across the county.
- Commitment to supporting students with moderate to severe needs, including managing behavioral interventions.
- Ability to collaborate with instructional teams and maintain a supportive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, educators, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work 1:1 with assigned students or assist teachers within moderated to severe needs classrooms.
- Provide behavioral, academic, and emotional support tailored to each students IEP or learning plan.
- Implement intervention strategies under the guidance of education and therapy staff.
- Foster a respectful and supportive environment for all students.
- Exhibit adaptability and professionalism across diverse educational settings.
