Step into a rewarding school-based contract position supporting students as a Paraprofessional. This opportunity is based at a single school located near Point Area, CA, with a start date available immediately and an assignment lasting through June 11, 2027. Youll be working 5.5 hours per week, making a direct impact on students daily learning experiences.

This role is ideal for those with experience working with children in classroom settings, as well as individuals who thrive in collaborative educational environments. Your day will involve working closely with both teachers and students, building meaningful connections that help every child succeed.

Key Qualifications:

• Associates degree, completion of 48 semester units of college coursework, or successful completion of a qualifying local assessment (as required in California)
• Previous experience working as a paraprofessional or in a school setting with behavioral needs is preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
• Team-oriented approach and a flexible, positive attitude

Your Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers with instruction and daily activities
• Provide direct support to students one-on-one or in small groups
• Help students stay focused and engaged, supporting academic, social, and behavioral growth
• Aid in implementing IEPs and behavior support plans for students who need them
• Foster a safe, positive, and well-organized classroom environment
• Collaborate regularly with educators and other school staff to promote student success
