Job Description

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Prior experience working as a paraprofessional, personal care assistant, or similar role in an educational setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and staff
  • Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing attitude to support students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Ability to follow directions and implement individualized educational and behavioral plans
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in education or related fields is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students under the supervision of certified teaching staff
  • Support students with classroom activities, assignments, and participation in daily routines
  • Assist with personal care needs as required, promoting independence whenever possible
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and respectful classroom environment
  • Monitor student progress, document observations, and communicate feedback to teachers and support staff
  • Help implement appropriate behavioral interventions and modifications based on student needs
