Make a direct impact in students lives by providing essential support in a dynamic educational setting. A rewarding contract opportunity is now available for a compassionate paraprofessional to work with a 1:1 student in a life skills program at a local middle school near Peterborough, NH. In this role, youll offer crucial academic assistance and help with daily living activities, including toileting support and positioning, fostering independence and confidence for the student.
Key Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role in a school environment
- LNA/CNA credentials welcome (but not required) for applicants with relevant background
- Comfort and capability in providing personal care and following individualized toileting plans
- Ability to assist with academic activities and support students with various learning needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers and program staff
- Patience, empathy, and dedication to empowering students with special needs
Major Responsibilities:
- Partner 1:1 with a student in the life skills program, delivering academic and personal care assistance
- Implement positioning strategies and maintain the students toileting plan according to program guidelines
- Collaborate with instructional staff to encourage progress toward academic and personal goals
- Create a safe, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Document daily observations and communicate effectively with the team to address changing needs as they arise
This is a full-time contract position, Monday through Friday from 8:50 a.m. to 3:22 p.m., starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 2026.
