About the Opportunity

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a flexible and dependable Paraprofessional to support students across a K8 school-based program throughout the Pecatonica, Durand, Rockton, and Roscoe areas.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable supporting students and classrooms across multiple locations. The selected candidate must be willing and able to travel to any of the program's eight classrooms based on daily staffing needs.

What You'll Do

  • Provide instructional and behavioral support to K8 students.
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities and daily routines.
  • Support students with academic, social, and behavioral needs.
  • Work across different classrooms and school locations as assigned.
  • Follow the schedule and reporting hours of the school you are assigned to.
  • Adapt quickly to changing daily assignments and student needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student success.
  • Help maintain a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment.

Schedule & Flexibility

  • Typical reporting window: 7:30 AM3:15 PM
  • Exact hours vary depending on the assigned school.
  • The candidate must be comfortable receiving their assignment the evening before or morning of.
  • Flexibility to work at any of the program locations is required.
  • Pecatonica has multiple early dismissal days throughout the month.

Qualifications

  • ISBE Approval or Short-Term Approval required easy to obtain.
  • Experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
  • Ability to work with students across K8.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between assigned locations.
  • Flexible, dependable, and comfortable with changing daily assignments.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
