Join an elementary school team in Providence, RI, as a paraprofessional supporting students with behavioral needs. This full-time, contract position runs through June 16, 2026, offering an opportunity to positively impact classroom instruction and student development within a dynamic school environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group instructional and behavioral support tailored to students needs
- Implementing classroom accommodations to enhance learning experiences
- Assisting with transitions between activities and environments
- Supporting community-based outings and bus supervision as required
- Working in either classroom-based or dedicated 1:1 support roles
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- One of the following: Passing ParaPro assessment score of 461 or higher Completion of two years of college Associates degree or higher Valid TA certification from another state
- Completion of or current enrollment in a RIDE-approved Teacher Assistant Training Program
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Teacher Assistant/Paraprofessional supporting students with behavioral challenges
Location: Providence, Rhode Island
Hours: Full-time (32.5 hours/week)
Caseload: Various elementary-level positions, details to be determined
