This contract position offers the opportunity to work 1:1 with an 11th grade student who is visually impaired, providing essential assistance throughout the school day. In addition to direct student support, you will play a key role in preparing materials for the Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) who collaborates on-site three times per week.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience working as a Paraprofessional in a school setting
• Familiarity with assistive technology and materials for visually impaired students is highly valued
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing student needs
• A patient, student-centered approach with a passion for helping others succeed
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in special education preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 assistance to an 11th grade student to support academic and social development
• Help the student access curriculum, organize materials, and use adaptive equipment
• Prepare and adapt classroom materials as directed by the TVI
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Collaborate regularly with teachers, TVI, and school staff to implement student support plans
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times

This role covers 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a consistent daytime schedule and focus on creating valuable educational experiences for one student.
