Responsibilities in this role include:

  • Assisting the Orthopedic Impairment Specialist with daily tasks, providing essential support for students using walkers, wheelchairs, and other adaptive equipment.
  • Monitoring and training students in the safe use of mobility devices and technology.
  • Traveling between locations as an itinerant resource, ensuring all assigned students receive consistent and compassionate assistance.
  • Facilitating communication between students, specialists, and educational staff for seamless support.
  • Utilizing strong administrative skills to maintain equipment logs and student progress documentation.

Candidates with the following qualifications will excel:

  • CPI Certification required.
  • Experience in Assistive Technology and Mobility Device Training.
  • CNA/Medical Training preferred.
  • Prior experience working in California school settings is ideal.
  • Strong administrative abilities for documentation and coordination.
  • Bilingual in Spanish required to best serve the communitys needs.
