Job Description

Step into a vital role supporting K-12 students in a setting 4 program as a paraprofessional for the upcoming school year. This rewarding contract position runs from September 8, 2026, to December 7, 2026, with hours from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, Monday through Friday. Its an excellent chance to make a meaningful impact, collaborate with talented education professionals, and help students reach their full potential. After 422 contract hours, there is a pathway to become a direct district hire.

Qualifications:

  • Must be considered Highly Qualified via one of the following:
    • Passing the Minnesota Para Educator Exam (submit official ParaPro or ParaEducator exam score)
    • At least 60 college credits with accompanying transcripts (diplomas or degrees do not suffice)
  • Experience supporting students at the elementary, middle, or high school level is highly valued
  • Familiarity with special education settings and behavior support strategies preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit
  • Must present both a resume and Highly Qualified documentation (transcripts or credential exam score) for consideration

Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom instruction and student engagement under teacher direction
  • Assist with academic, behavioral, and functional needs of students in a setting 4 environment
  • Foster a positive atmosphere and encourage social-emotional growth
  • Adapt to a variety of grade levels (K-12) and educational needs
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold safety protocols
