Exciting opportunities are available for talented paraprofessionals in high school settings for the upcoming academic year! This contract role offers a chance to support students at one of several vibrant schools in a thriving district near Osseo, MN. With a welcoming atmosphere and strong support teams in place, youll make a real difference in the classroom.
Current openings are available at Blaine High School, Champlin Park High School, and Coon Rapids High School. When applying, please specify which location you are most interested in, as each site has a unique team of interviewers and caseloads. The assignment runs from late August through late November, with a strong possibility of transitioning to a direct hire role after a successful 90-day contract period (32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday).
Desired experience and qualifications:
- Must be highly qualified by ONE of the following before being submitted:
- Passing the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (Para Educator Exam)
- At least 60 college credits (official college transcripts required; photos of diplomas/degree do not suffice)
- Previous experience in a high school or educational support environment is preferred
- Comfortable with all tasks expected of support staff, including assistance with toileting if needed
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to student success
Key responsibilities:
- Work directly with students to support their academic and personal growth
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement individualized learning plans
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe school environment
- Provide necessary assistance to students and help manage classroom routines
In this role, compensation is set at $20 per hour, aligning with district requirements.
