Job Description

Two full-time opportunities are available for dedicated Educational Assistants/Paraprofessionals supporting students with diverse needs. This contract role offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment, providing both academic and behavioral assistance to learners in a center-based elementary setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group support to students in a center-based special education classroom.
- Assist with academic instruction, behavioral support, and the implementation of IEP accommodations and behavior plans.
- Support students with daily living activities (ADLs), including personal care and toileting as needed.
- Collaborate actively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver consistent, high-quality support.
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive environment that promotes student growth and independence.
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher; OR a minimum of 60 college credits; OR a passing score on a state-approved paraprofessional assessment (such as the ParaPro Assessment).
- Previous experience in a school setting as a paraprofessional or educational assistant is highly valued.
- Familiarity with supporting students with ASD, EBD, or more intensive special education needs.
- Comfort and experience with PBIS, ABA, CPI, or similar behavior management strategies.
- Ability to assist students with personal care and toileting.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
