Job Description

Step into an impactful role supporting students during Extended School Year (ESY) programming! We are seeking ten highly qualified paraprofessionals who are committed to making a meaningful difference in the classroom. This contract position will run from June 15th through June 25th, 2026, with Monday through Thursday scheduling and morning hours from 8:55 am to 12:25 pm (please note that exact hours may vary by site and specific assignments will be determined by student requirements). Caseloads may include elementary, middle, or high school settings, offering a diverse and engaging experience.

Ideal candidates will meet the following qualifications:

  • Status as Highly Qualified by one of the two Minnesota Board-recognized pathways:
    • Pass the MN Board Paraprofessional Exam (with proof of passing score)
    • Possess at least 60 college credits with verifiable transcripts (diplomas will not be accepted as substitutes)
  • A demonstrated passion for supporting students educational, social, and emotional growth
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and students
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of students and school sites

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in implementing individualized student programs and classroom activities
  • Offering support to teachers in managing group and one-on-one instructional settings
  • Maintaining a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
  • Providing encouragement and assistance to students with varying needs and abilities
  • Documenting student progress and reporting feedback to instructional teams
