As a Paraprofessional in this role, youll focus on providing 1:1 assistance to a single student requiring behavioral support. This position invites you to apply your expertise in a positive school environment, contributing directly to individual student progress.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role
- Background in supporting students with challenging behaviors is strongly preferred
- Ability to implement positive behavior strategies and follow individualized behavior intervention plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, therapists, and families
- Patience, adaptability, and genuine commitment to student success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive 1:1 support to a designated student throughout the school day
- Assist with implementing behavioral strategies as directed by the special education or classroom teacher
- Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning atmosphere
- Record observations and collaborate with staff to track student progress
- Help facilitate student participation in classroom activities and transitions
- Support with daily living or functional skills as needed
