Make a real impact in the lives of students as a dedicated paraprofessional. This contract opportunity is located near Orland Park, IL, with work based in Chicago Heights, IL. You'll be providing essential 1:1 support to a student with behavioral needs, both during summer school and continuing into the upcoming school year.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Patience, compassion, and the ability to build trusting relationships
• Experience supporting students with behavioral or special needs
• Ability to maintain a positive, encouraging attitude in diverse situations
• Understanding of behavior intervention strategies is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support and guidance to a designated student, focusing on behavioral management and emotional support
• Collaborate closely with teachers and specialists to adapt strategies that aid the students progress
• Help implement individualized educational and behavioral plans
• Foster a safe, respectful classroom environment
• Document progress and share observations with the instructional team
• Support the student in academic and social participation throughout the school day
