Make a meaningful impact supporting students by working as a contract paraprofessional in a thriving school environment. Positions are available across grades K-12, with a particular need in elementary classrooms. Youll have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including life skills, autism support, and behavior intervention classrooms. Multiple contract openings are available, with caseload assignments matched to your experience and preferences. Candidates will participate in a preliminary interview to discuss their background and review available placements. Recommendations and offers will be provided following the interview process, ensuring you are placed in a role that aligns with your skills and interests.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience as a paraprofessional or in a school-based support role, especially within special education environments
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and other paraprofessionals
- Patient, adaptable, and proactive in supporting students individual educational and behavioral goals
- Familiarity with a range of student needs, including life skills development and autism spectrum disorders
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional support to students individually and in small groups
- Assist teachers with classroom management and lesson preparation
- Support students with behavioral and social-emotional needs as outlined in their educational plans
- Help implement individualized programs and adapt classroom materials
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations to relevant staff
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
