Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school environment is highly desirable
  • Ability to effectively support students with a range of learning and behavioral needs
  • Strong communication skills with both students and staff
  • Patient, compassionate demeanor with a genuine passion for helping others
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certifications in education a plus
  • Capable of following classroom procedures and collaborating within a team setting
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing classroom requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Assist lead teachers with the implementation of lesson plans and daily activities
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them stay on task and understand material
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
  • Assist with classroom management and reinforce appropriate behaviors
  • Monitor student progress and communicate observations to teachers and staff
  • Support students with special needs or Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as directed
  • Perform clerical, supervisory, or other support tasks as assigned
