Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional or teachers aide, preferably in a school environment
- Familiarity with classroom organization and supporting teachers in delivering instructional activities
- Ability to provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students with diverse learning needs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering positive relationships with students and staff
- Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to changing classroom dynamics
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant certifications are a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers with daily instructional activities and promote an inclusive learning atmosphere
- Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students, ensuring engagement and safety
- Help prepare classroom materials and support students during lessons, activities, and transitions
- Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, playgrounds, and lunch areas
- Implement instructional plans as directed by teachers or specialists to reinforce learning objectives
- Support a collaborative spirit by partnering with educators, specialists, and families
