Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional, teachers assistant, or with special education is a plus

  • Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude in classroom settings
  • Ability to follow directions, implement individual education plans, and respond to guidance from supervising teachers
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in education or child development preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic and behavioral support to students under the direction of certified teachers
  • Assist with classroom management and help create an inclusive learning environment
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce lessons, aid comprehension, and encourage participation
  • Support students with special needs as required by their individualized plans
  • Help prepare instructional materials and participate in school activities, field trips, or special events as needed
  • Foster a respectful, supportive, and safe space for all students
