Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting student success as a Paraprofessional, assisting one student in a 1:1 environment. This contract position includes hours for both Summer School and the upcoming school year and is located in the Chicago Heights area.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Paraprofessional within a school environment
- Ability to effectively support students with behavioral needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patience, adaptability, and a calm demeanor when navigating challenging situations
- Reliability and commitment to the full duration of summer and school-year assignments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized assistance to a student, focusing on behavioral and academic support
- Implement behavior intervention strategies as outlined by the school's support team
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that helps the student achieve success
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and support staff to monitor progress and update strategies as needed
- Assist the student during instructional and non-instructional times, including classroom activities, transitions, and breaks
- Document daily progress and maintain effective communication with teachers and parents
This contract position offers a competitive pay rate starting at $24 per hour, reflecting the importance of your expertise and dedication.
