Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a school, educational, or child-centered setting
- Demonstrated understanding of behavioral, emotional, or autistic support needs
- Effective interpersonal communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Adaptable team player with a proactive attitude
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and a supportive, positive environment
- Associates degree, 48 college credits, or completion of a paraprofessional assessment (preferred, may vary by role)
- Willingness to travel between school sites if needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-classroom support for students with autism spectrum disorder, multiple disabilities, emotional support, or early intervention needs
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and behavior management
- Support students with transitions, daily tasks, and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Collaborate with educators and therapists to deliver consistent support strategies
