In this role, youll play an integral part in K-12 classrooms, providing direct support for students with severe behaviors in a Level 3 Autism Support setting. Assignments follow the school calendar, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 7:30AM 3:30PM.

To succeed in this role, candidates must:

• Have at least 1 year of experience as an ABA paraprofessional in a K-12 classroom
• Reside within a 35-minute commute of Levittown
• Hold, or be able to obtain within 60 days, state-specific paraprofessional qualifications (associate degree, 48 college credits, or appropriate state certification)
• Be available full time and able to attend a mandatory week-long orientation prior to assignment start
• Provide two supervisor references from paraprofessional roles
• Demonstrate experience supporting students exhibiting severe behaviors, including physical aggression and need for safety interventions

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting students with severe autism in meeting IEP goals
• Supporting classroom management and promoting safe environments
• Implementing ABA strategies and data collection under teacher and supervisor guidance
• Applying de-escalation techniques and safety protocols as needed
• Collaborating closely with teachers and school teams
