Job Description

Seeking Paraprofessional support for a specialized K8 severe needs program located near Norristown, PA, with assignments based in Levittown, PA. This contract role focuses on assisting students with high-intensity behavioral challenges in a structured, behavioral environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students exhibiting aggressive and self-injurious behaviors within a highly structured ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) intervention framework.
  • Implement safety protocols and behavior intervention plans to ensure a secure learning environment.
  • Participate in mandatory orientation sessions every other week (8:30 AM 4:30 PM).
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and behavioral specialists to meet individual student needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an ABA paraprofessional.
  • Competent in supporting students with autism and severe behavioral needs through ABA interventions.
  • Comfortable and skilled in working with high-intensity behaviors and implementing safety interventions.
  • Valid Pennsylvania paraprofessional credentials or willingness to complete the required 7-module training and credential submission within 60 days.
  • Must hold at least one of the following: 48 college credits, an associate degree or higher, CDA, or Credential of Competency.
  • Reside within 35 minutes of Levittown, PA.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 3:30 PM, aligning with the school calendar through June 12, 2026.
