Job Description

Step into a meaningful role supporting students on the autism spectrum in a dedicated Bridges Autism Support classroom. This contract paraprofessional opportunity provides vital assistance during a maternity leave coverage from late October through the end of March. Working onsite, you will collaborate with educators and specialists to create an engaging, supportive environment for elementary students with varying needs.

Your experience as a paraprofessional will allow you to make a lasting impact as you help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The position offers full-time weekday hours, with a daily 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Youll be part of a passionate school community, fostering positive change every day.

Qualifications:

  • Delaware Paraeducator Permit (must have current permit; pending status is not acceptedattach a screenshot of DEEDS portal if pending)
  • Previous experience supporting students with autism or in special education settings preferred
  • Willingness to complete and pay for CBC fingerprinting ($85 requirement)
  • Ability to follow individualized education plans and directions from classroom teachers
  • Excellent communication, patience, and organization skills
  • Candidates with RBT certification welcome, but this position is strictly classified and compensated as paraprofessional per school guidelines
  • Submission of resume and DE para permit required for consideration
